Today there is much singing and dancing in Swaziland! It is actually a day when the children go to a central location at one of the schools, all dressed in their Swazi costume, and spend the day doing traditional Swazi dance. However, at our main care point today (the Center) we had a dance party of our own! A lovely group of young people with a ministry called Power of Hope Ministries visited the children from Pongola, South Africa. They give up their Saturdays to go out into the most rural areas of Swaziland and South Africa to minister to the children in those communities! A new friend of ours, Di Hampson, helped us to arrange this exciting day for the children of Nsoko. The group arrived with their trailer, all equipped with stage, puppet theater, lights, and sound system ready to bring the Word of God alive for our kids!

At first we were a bit worried that not many children would come out, due to the traditional day of dancing that was being held today. However, many of the children around here have no money for transport to the location of the dancing and/or no way to afford what's needed to dress properly in the traditional Swazi items. Sooooooo....once the kids heard the music playing they came to see what was happening! The looks on their faces as they danced says it all!

The young people from Pongola presented the truth and hope of the Gospel with fun songs and movement:

There was even a cute donkey (puppet) that taught the kids the fruits of the Spirit! This was a big hit with the little ones...a talking donkey!! What fun!

We are so thankful that these teenagers were willing to take the time to show God's love to the kids of Nsoko! We look forward to having them visit again to share their message of hope with some of our other care point kids! Thank you Power of Hope Ministries! What a blessing to know that up the road, many Swazi kids were dancing and praising one king (of Swaziland) and down here we were dancing and praising the ONE TRUE KING!!

"Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life, I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them- the LORD who remains faithful forever."
~ Psalm 146:1-6
