I saw this video on a friend’s blog today. It struck me and I found myself watching it over, and over again.  At first glance, it would appear to be a message to men. A message saying, it is time to step up and take a stand against the exploitation of girls and women via the sex industry. A call for men to repent and turn away from seeking gratification from pornographic materials of all kinds. A bright light being turned on in the dark rooms of lustful, sexual sin. A realization that everytime the brown wrapping is torn off of a magazine full of nasty pictures; everytime a prostitute crawls into the front seat of a customer’s car; everytime a computer search navigates into an XXX site…something is being stolen.

                   Innocence…
                                Purity….
                                      Self Worth…
                                                    Dignity…
                                                            Decency…

This video and the message it contains is all of this and more!
It is also a cry out to wives who turn a blind eye to their husbands’ wanderings online.
It is a plea to mothers and fathers who say of their sons: “boys will be boys”.
It is an appeal to the senses of girlfriends who excuse and even encourage the appetites of their boyfriends’ want for “tighter, shorter, sexier, hotter”.
It is a rebuke to industries that feed and thrive on making our toddlers into tramps and encouraging pre-teens into promiscuity.

In a culture where sex sells absolutely everything it is a challenge to STOP BUYING!
Men! Women! Fathers! Mothers!Boys! Girls! PEOPLE…we all need to take a stand and step it up!

Watch the video; watch it again; let it sink in…
Pray and ask God to reveal places in your own heart, mind and soul that have been taken captive to this master.
Tear down the idols of lust that stand in the way of your holiness and honor…or in the way of another’s…

“It is God’s will that you should be sanctified; that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his/her own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong his/her brother/sister or take advantage of him/her. The Lord will punish men/women for all such sins…For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he/she who rejects this instruction does not reject man but GOD, who gives you His Holy Spirit.”  1 Thessalonians 4:3-8
