This is a poem that our 12 year old daughter, Claire, wrote to share with our worship community this Resurrection Sunday. May you feel the peace, joy, love and wonder of Easter today and every day as you walk with our Risen Savior!

ALIVE

Jesus died upon the cross to save us from our sins
He died the death that we deserved and did it willingly.
He descended into hell for three days

and on the third – He rose!
He burst forth from the tomb in glorious triumph,
and in meeting Mary Magdalene He said:
“It is I, I am alive!”
“Teacher!” she cried and threw her arms around Him.
What else could the woman do?
Her Teacher, her Jesus had died
and now, now He was alive!
Alive, resurrected.
God would not turn away and let His Son remain dead.
He rose.
Jesus rose.
Now, let our stones be rolled away,
let our eyes be opened,
and let Jesus be welcomed into our lives.
As we sit in church this Easter morning,
let us know
that He is alive.
He is ready for you.
Think about this
and let yourselves be made alive!
Made alive
by the one who is ALIVE!
